Two suspects are in custody after a daring police chase in Leicestershire ended with a white panel van smashing into several police vehicles. The pair were arrested on suspicion of theft, dangerous driving, failing to stop, and attempted murder.
Smashing the Law – Literally
The Leicestershire Police road policing team tweeted shocking images this morning of the wrecked police car. Luckily, no officers sustained serious injuries during the violent ram raid.
Van Finally Boxed In
Police released photos showing the van trapped by squad cars after the high-speed pursuit. Officers confirmed the occupants had been out stealing before refusing to stop and deliberately ramming police vehicles.
“Occupants of this van had been out stealing tonight, they failed to stop & deliberately rammed police cars! Fortunately, officers have not been seriously injured! Amazing. Van stopped. Two arrested, attempt murder, theft, dangerous drive & fail to stop! Result.”
