Swindon Drug Dealer Liam Meager Jailed for Nearly Four Years
Swift Justice for Class A Supplier
Liam Meager, 23, from Beech Avenue, Swindon, was slammed with a hefty sentence yesterday at Swindon Crown Court. The young drug dealer pleaded guilty to two counts of supplying class A drugs and possession of criminal property. He was locked up for three years and eight months and hit with a £600 fine.
Operation Accentor Smashes County Drugs Lines
Meager’s arrest was part of Operation Accentor, a crackdown that closed 15 county drugs lines across Wiltshire. Wiltshire Police’s Fortitude Team swooped on 13 October, executing multiple warrants in Swindon. Plainclothes officers caught Meager as he tried to flee from his home but quickly brought him down.
Evidence Mounts Against Swindon Dealer
As he was detained, Meager tried to ditch a Nokia phone and a wrap of class A drugs. Police then raided his home, seizing a phone linked to a major drug operation, hundreds in cash, and around 40 wraps of heroin ready for sale on the streets.
DS Joe Shanklin, Fortitude Team, said: “This investigation was part of Op Accentor, a large-scale operation into disrupting and dismantling class A drug dealing in Swindon.
“Officers acted swiftly and gathered solid evidence to bring Meager to justice for supplying crack cocaine and heroin. The evidence was overwhelming, forcing him to plead guilty at the first chance.”
“Drugs destroy families and communities, and we will keep targeting those responsible relentlessly. This sentence is a clear warning: get involved in this evil trade, and Wiltshire Police will make sure you pay the price.”
