Brave Bystander Stops Late-Night Assault Near Beaconsfield Road
A woman walking near Beaconsfield Road at around 11pm on Sunday, 27 February 2022, was suddenly attacked by a man. Thankfully, a quick-thinking member of the public stepped in, forcing the assailant to flee towards the nearby railway underpass.
Victim Escapes Without Injury
Miraculously, the woman was not harmed during the incident. The swift intervention prevented what could have been a far worse outcome.
Suspect Arrested and Held in Custody
Police arrested a 47-year-old man with no fixed address on the morning of Tuesday, 1 March. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
