Emergency services were called to the section of road between Yarnbrook and Heywood around 9.20pm yesterday (04/04).
The collision involved a Range Rover and a Nissan X-Trail.
Sadly, the driver of the Nissan, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
The road currently remains closed while enquiries are ongoing.
Wiltshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now carrying out enquiries and would urge anyone with information, including anyone who may have seen either vehicle shortly beforehand or who may have dash cam footage which could assist our investigation, to make contact.
