Top Detective McFall Nets Heavy Sentences for Child Sex and Rape Offenders
Detective Constable Matthew McFall of South Cumbria CAST has made headlines for his relentless crackdown on serious criminals. His impressive track record has brought numerous offenders to justice, earning him well-deserved recognition.
Major Convictions Secured
- McFall secured a 12-year jail term for a man found guilty of seven child sex assault offences after a six-day trial.
- He landed a 7½-year sentence for a man convicted of kidnapping and raping a woman.
- Another offender received over two years behind bars for sexual assault thanks to McFall’s work.
Keeping the Pressure While Mentoring New Detectives
All this was achieved while McFall was busy investigating a slew of other serious crimes and mentoring a trainee Detective Constable. His dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“Detective Constable McFall worked doggedly and with great effectiveness during a difficult period to secure numerous convictions which took serious offenders off the streets,” said Detective Chief Inspector John Graham-Cumming.
“Those convictions and prison sentences gave great comfort to a number of victims who were able to see those who attacked them receive justice for their crimes.”
