Medics have been dispatched to Tennyson Down, the island’s most western point, where it is believed a child has been injured in a fall – UKNIP

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, and HM Coastguard are responding to an emergency involving a child at The Needles this evening (Wednesday).

Medics have been dispatched to Tennyson Down, the island’s most western point, where it is believed a child has been injured in a fall.

The air ambulance has landed at The Needles Battery, and flying doctors and paramedics are now assessing the casualty. The HEMS team took off from their base in Andover shortly before 19:00.

At this time, the extent of the injuries is unknown.

HM Coastguard has two teams on the scene, one from The Needles and one from Ventnor.
