An Appeal Has Been Issued For A Good Samaritan To Come Forward Following An Assault In Poole

Officers investigating an assault on a teenage girl in Poole are asking for the identity of a Good Samaritan who intervened.
The 14-year-old victim and a friend were at Upton Recreation Ground in Sea View Road around 5.30 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, 2022, when they were approached by a group of male teenagers, two of whom were on bicycles.
The group attempted to converse with the victim and blocked her path with one of the bikes. The victim kicked one of the teenagers between the legs after attempting to push her out of the way. She suffered no serious injuries.
Dorset Police Constable Katie Wallis stated, “We are continuing to investigate this assault and have obtained additional details from the victim.” We understand that a man intervened and came to the victim’s aid following the assault, and we want to identify this person because they may have information that can help our investigation.” I would also like to encourage anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police via the website www.dorset.police.uk/contact, email [email protected], or phone 101, quoting occurrence number 55220077173.
