Tragic Loss Rocks Isle of Man TT as Father and Son Duo Die on Track
Roger and Bradley, not just father and son but also racing partners, have died in a heartbreaking tragedy during the Isle of Man TT. The iconic event extends its deepest condolences to their families, friends, and the entire paddock community.
Racing Together, Living the Dream
Roger, 56, was a seasoned TT veteran making his 20th race start across 11 appearances. His son Bradley, just 21, was racing in only his second TT contest, having debuted earlier this week. The pair finished an impressive eighth in the first Sidecar Race of TT 2022, hitting a best lap speed of 106mph.
Bradley’s love for the Isle of Man TT runs deep. He first visited as a one-year-old and grew up amid the paddock buzz. At 16, he told his dad he wanted to race as his passenger—a dream they realised this year.
Roger’s Timeless Passion
Roger’s TT journey began in 2000. Despite brief retirements, he kept returning, driven by pure love for the sport. Earlier this year, he said: “I’ve retired a few times before, but I’ve always come back for my love of the sport. It will be incredible to go around the course with my own flesh and blood.”
A Dark Day with a Glimmer of Hope
The paddock mourns the loss of two lives, two family members, and two racing legends. Yet, the bond of father and son who chased their dream together offers a spark of hope in this darkest hour.
