A thorough investigation into the cause of the helicopter crash, which we previously reported on, is currently underway.
The incident occurred just before noon in a field off Bentham Road near Burton in Lonsdale, near Ingleton.
The crash tragically claimed the lives of two people. Specially trained officers are assisting their families.
There was no one else on board the helicopter, according to reports.
The A65 and the junction with Bentham Moor Road are completely closed.
