A Man Is Being Sought By Police In Connection With The Theft Of A Bank Card From A Pensioner In Tunbridge Wells

The card is said to have been stolen while the victim was using a cash machine on Calverley Road around 12.45pm on June 16, 2022. The victim was making a withdrawal when he was approached by two women who tried to show him a map and got very close to him. According to reports, the women were speaking in a foreign language, possibly German.

The victim, who was in his 70s, later discovered his bank card was missing, and checks revealed it had been used to make more than 90 fraudulent online transactions. The card was also used in other parts of the country as well as in Kent, including Sevenoaks.

Officers believe the man in the photo may have vital information and are asking anyone who recognises him to contact them.
