Tragic Stabbing in Boston
Lilia Valutyte, just nine years old, has died following a suspected stabbing in Boston, Lincolnshire. Police were called to Fountain Lane at around 6.20pm on Thursday where they found Lilia fatally injured.
Police Action and Investigation
Two people were arrested in connection with the murder probe related to this “isolated incident,” confirmed officials on Friday morning. Details on the suspects and their nationalities have not been released.
Community and Family in Mourning
Chief Superintendent Kate Anderson called Lilia’s death an “utter tragedy” and expressed deep sympathy for her family and friends. “Our thoughts remain with Lilia’s family,” she said. The girl’s parents have been notified and are now receiving support from specially trained officers.
Tributes Pour In
The local community is united in grief. Boston Borough Council leader Paul Skinner said: “The town is mourning the very sad and tragic loss of this young girl.” Flowers and tributes can be laid at the junction of Fountain Lane and Fountain Place in her memory.
