Man Stabbed Twice in Back in Gravesend Late Night Attack
A man in his twenties was walking down King Street, Gravesend, at around 10.30pm on Monday, August 1, when he was suddenly approached by two men. The pair chased him before one allegedly stabbed him twice in the back with a weapon.
Suspects Known to Victim, Police Arrest Local Man
The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment but has since been released. Police describe the suspects as two black men wearing dark clothing, believed to be known to the victim.
On Tuesday, August 2, a 21-year-old local man was arrested in connection with the stabbing. He has been released on bail while investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident to contact our appeal line,” said Detective Inspector Pete Smith of North Kent CID.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw a black 1 in the King Street area around the time of the attack.
Motorists with dashcams and residents with CCTV are urged to check their footage for anything useful.
