Police Hunt Man Over Horsham Bar Needle Attack
Police have released a photo of a man wanted over a suspected spiking incident at a Horsham bar. The shocking attack happened in Mungos, Park Place, in the early hours of Sunday 26 June.
Woman Jabbed with Needle on Dancefloor
Between 1am and 1.45am, a woman was dancing with a friend when a lone man approached. He suddenly jabbed her in the arm with a needle before walking off. Despite the sharp pain, the woman challenged him immediately and later went to hospital as a precaution.
Toxicology tests revealed no unknown substances in her system. She has been kept updated as the investigation continues.
Police Describe Suspect – And Urge Public to Help
Detectives have yet to identify the man. They describe him as a white Eastern European in his late 30s, about 5’10” tall, medium build with muscular arms. He has short dark hair and a beard. At the time, he wore an orange polo, jeans, and black trainers with orange trim.

Officer Warns: Stay Vigilant Against Spiking
“We encourage anyone who believes they’ve been a victim of needle spiking or drink tampering to report it urgently to bar staff or police,” said PC Jon Petroulas.
“Do not continue drinking – this can cause more serious problems. If a friend is suspected to have been spiked, don’t let them leave with someone unknown. Keep them talking, monitor their condition, and call an ambulance if they worsen.
A urine or blood sample should be taken within 72 hours to identify any substances. Police or medical personnel can help arrange this.”
