London’s fire crews were alerted at 1.51pm after the Brigade’s 999 Control Officers received 10 calls about the blaze. Firefighters from Euston, Brixton, Clapham, Lambeth, Battersea, and Hammersmith stations rushed to the scene.

Thanks to rapid response, the fire was declared under control by 2.36pm, sparing the rest of the building from damage.
