Man Jailed for Threatening to ‘Kill’ Sajid Javid in Bombshell HM Treasury Emails

Kestutis Cesna bombarded HM Treasury with 22 emails packed with racist and offensive language – including a chilling death threat against then-Home Secretary Sajid Javid. In one shocking email dated 19 May 2018, Cesna warned: “You need to sack Javid. Kill him if he resists.”

Nottinghamshire Police quickly sprang into action after the threats were reported. They interviewed Cesna, 46, from Radford, and charged him with sending offensive and threatening messages. Although he denied any wrongdoing, a jury at Nottingham Crown Court disagreed.

Jury Finds Cesna Guilty – Three Months Inside

The jury found Cesna guilty of sending threatening and offensive communications. On 11 November, he was slapped with a three-month jail sentence. His vile threats shocked the community and sparked swift justice.

Chief Inspector Amy English said: “I am pleased that Cesna has been held accountable for this actions and hope that this verdict serves as a warning to others who think they can behave in this way without consequence. We will continue to take a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of hate crime and take robust action against anyone who engages in such abhorrent behaviour.”
