Liverpool Drug Dealer Jailed Over County Lines Crackdown
A Liverpool man has been locked up for four years and four months after a daring police operation crushed his drug empire.
Kingpin Nabbed in Major Sting
Patrick Kinsella, 29, from Spur Close, Liverpool, pleaded guilty to supplying heroin and crack cocaine. He was caught after officers hit a Liverpool property on 14 June 2023 during Operation Toxic.
County Lines Control Uncovered
Investigators from Project Medusa and Police Scotland uncovered Kinsella’s role in running a County Lines supply in Fraserburgh, Scotland, under the alias ‘Zac N Paddy’. Project Medusa is a Merseyside-led task force targeting drug dealing and child exploitation linked to organised crime.
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton said: “We welcome this sentencing where Kinsella is now behind bars and has time to reflect on his criminal activity.
“We have disrupted a chain of supply and taken a significant quantity of drugs off the streets and further afield, preventing them from damaging communities.
“Organised crime is hugely damaging to our communities, often involving intimidation, violence and creating fear and it is these criminals who run County Lines.
“Criminals involved in organised crime have no thought for anyone other than themselves, and their criminal intent and greed.
“Project Medusa is dedicated to cutting these County Lines dead and taking those who operate them off our streets and working with partners to help those who may be exploited by these gangs.”
