Southampton Biker Nabbed with Fake Gun and Driving Offences
Nathanual Christopher Hemy, 25, from Portswood Road, Southampton, has been sentenced to 21 months behind bars at Southampton Crown Court on 12 July.
Long List of Offences
Hemy admitted to a string of crimes including possession of an imitation firearm, assaulting an emergency worker, two counts of criminal damage, driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, threatening behaviour, dangerous driving, and aggravated vehicle taking.
Crash Caught on Camera
The trouble started on 29 January 2022, when Hemy was riding a motorbike without insurance or a licence. Around 11.45pm on Kent Street, Southampton, he collided with a black Audi.
- A witness recorded the smash on video.
- The footage showed Hemy holding what looked like a firearm.
He was arrested while being treated for injuries at Southampton General Hospital.
Violent Outburst in Hospital and Stolen Car Chase
While in custody at the hospital in February 2022, Hemy lashed out:
- Punched a TV screen
- Threw items at police officers
- Used foul language towards police and the public
- Damaged a hospital call bell
In another brush with the law on 12 April 2022, at about 10.30am, Hemy was spotted driving a stolen Ford Fiesta with cloned plates on Maybray King Way. He drove dangerously before being chased and arrested by police.
Along with his jail term, Hemy has been banned from driving for 39 months.
