Police have slammed a “cowardly” thief who preyed on a disabled man outside his own home in Carlton.

Thief strikes as victim unlocks door

The victim had just got off a Nottingham City Transport number 27 bus and was walking home on Southdale Road when the predator struck around 6.30pm on 1 June 2023.

CCTV released – police hunt suspect

Nottinghamshire Police have now issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the brazen robbery.

Detective Constable Nathan Wall said: “This was a despicable offence. To target a vulnerable disabled man like this is cowardly. We are working hard to find the person responsible.”

He added: “If you recognise this man or have any information, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident 627 of 1 June 2023. You can also report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
