Shock robbery on disabled man’s doorstep
Police have slammed a “cowardly” thief who preyed on a disabled man outside his own home in Carlton.
Thief strikes as victim unlocks door
The victim had just got off a Nottingham City Transport number 27 bus and was walking home on Southdale Road when the predator struck around 6.30pm on 1 June 2023.
As the man struggled to unlock his front door, the suspect rifled through his shoulder bag and snatched cash before disappearing into the night.
CCTV released – police hunt suspect
Nottinghamshire Police have now issued CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the brazen robbery.
Detective Constable Nathan Wall said: “This was a despicable offence. To target a vulnerable disabled man like this is cowardly. We are working hard to find the person responsible.”
He added: “If you recognise this man or have any information, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident 627 of 1 June 2023. You can also report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
Community urged to come forward
Authorities are appealing to the public for help to bring this lowlife to justice and protect vulnerable members of the community.
