Gateshead Horror: Man Fatally Attacked at Felling Home

The tragic identity of the man who died after a brutal assault in Gateshead has been revealed. Christopher Phillips, 40, originally from Berwick, suffered fatal head injuries at his home in Tennyson Court, Sunderland Road, Felling. Emergency services rushed to the scene at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, but despite their best efforts, Christopher was pronounced dead shortly after.

Police have launched a murder investigation into Christopher’s shocking death. A 26-year-old man is now in custody on suspicion of murder, detained by Northumbria Police as inquiries continue.
