Man and Woman Stand Up to Racist Thugs – Violence Erupts on The Leas
A brave couple stepped in at around 5.30pm on Monday 20 June 2022 after witnessing three men hurl racial abuse at passersby along The Leas. When confronted, one of the offenders lashed out, assaulting the man and even kicking his dog.
Racist Attack Spills onto Sandgate Beach – Victims Pelted with Stones
Nearby, a family relaxing on Sandgate Esplanade by Earls Avenue was also targeted by the same trio. The victims were racially abused and bombarded with stones. One person was kicked and punched so badly they needed hospital treatment.
21-Year-Old from Deal Arrested as Police Hunt More Witnesses
The following morning, Kent Police arrested a 21-year-old man from Deal on suspicion of assault and public order offences related to the incidents.
Detectives believe the two attacks are linked and urgently seek anyone who witnessed either incident. Dash cam footage from the areas may be crucial.
