Tragic Fatal Crash on M1 Claims Young Woman’s Life
Police were scrambled just before 6.50pm on Tuesday, 28 February, after reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near junction 3 southbound entry slip road on the M1.
18-Year-Old Woman Dies at Scene
Despite rapid response from police and emergency services, the pedestrian – a young woman aged 18 – was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist officers are now supporting her next of kin, who have been informed of the devastating news.
Ongoing Investigation, No Arrests Yet
Police continue their enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. So far, no arrests have been made.
