A number of fire crews and appliances have been called to the world-famous London Croydon Aerodrome Hotel following reports of a fire alarm sounding on the Seventh floor.
Crews from nearby fire station Croydon rushed to the 109 bedrooms on Purley Way just after midnight on Sunday evening following a report of the alarm sounding.
Staff at the site started to evacuate the guest from their rooms and called the London Fire Brigade following the alarm activation.
Five appliances along with a number of officers have been sent to the incident
