Paedophile Stephen Parker Jailed for Sick Child Abuse Online
In April 2019, Northamptonshire Police’s Online Child Abuse Investigation Unit got a tip-off about Stephen Parker, formerly of Wellingborough. He was caught with indecent images of children.
Police Raid Home, Seize Devices
Officers wasted no time. They raided Parker’s house and seized several electronic gadgets. What they found next was shocking.
Parker had been using online video chatrooms to perform sexual acts in front of children. Worse, he encouraged the kids to do the same.
Heavily Charged – And Pleads Guilty
Parker faced a slew of charges:
- Seven counts of making indecent images of children
- One count of causing/inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity (penetration)
- Two counts of causing/inciting a girl 13-15 to engage in sexual activity (penetration)
- Three counts of causing/inciting a girl 13-15 to engage in sexual activity (no penetration)
- One count of engaging in sexual activity in presence of a child under 13
- Two counts of possessing extreme pornography
At Northampton Crown Court, Parker pleaded guilty to all 16 counts and was sentenced to five years in prison on March 15.
Investigator Vows to Protect Children
“Stephen Parker thought his home was a safe haven to abuse children online. It’s not,” said Detective Constable Adam Brooks, lead investigator. “We act on every piece of intelligence about online child abuse, no matter where the suspect is.”
“Our team is passionate about protecting Northamptonshire’s children. We will keep fighting to stop predators like Parker.”
