A brutal fight broke out in Thornton Heath’s shopping district today, leaving a man with a slash wound to his face. The bloody incident unfolded around 2.38pm on Brigstock Road, prompting the London Ambulance Service to alert police.

Officers quickly cordoned off Cotford Parade, blocking off shops including Tesco, Superdrug, and the halal meat market. But by the time they arrived, the brawlers had vanished.

Victim Seeks Hospital Care

Moments later, a man showed up at a south London hospital with a slash injury to his face. The Met Police confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening but investigations are ongoing.

“There have been no arrests at this time. A crime scene is in place and enquiries continue,” a Met Police spokesperson said.
