At 1.45am on Thursday, 12 January, police were contacted by the London fire brigade after a bottle was thrown at a London fire brigade vehicle in Ridley Road E8, injuring a member of staff.

Firefighters have been called to an automatic fire alarm on the road when the attack is understood to have happened.

There have been no arrests at this time. Enquiries are ongoing.

  A spokesman for the Met Police said: At 01:45hrs on Thursday, 12 January, police were contacted by LFB after a bottle was thrown at an LFB vehicle in Ridley Road E8, injuring a member of staff.
