Driver’s Wild Police Chase Ends in Crash and Injuries in Fulham
Chaos erupted on North End Road, Fulham, around 5.10pm last Saturday when a driver refused to stop for police and caused a dangerous collision.
Chase Turns Dangerous
Officers tried to pull over a car involved in an ongoing probe, but the driver sped off. The vehicle smashed into an empty marked police car, flipping it over. Undeterred, the driver then crashed into a second police vehicle.
Emergency Services Rush In
Back-up quickly arrived, including more officers, the London Fire Brigade, and London Ambulance Service. Two police officers suffered minor injuries and received medical treatment.
Commander Kyle Gordon said: “Our officers come to work every day to tackle crime and protect Londoners. Today, two officers were hurt by a man who seemed desperate to escape.”
“This incident highlights the daily dangers they face and shows how luck played a part in avoiding serious harm.”
Suspect in Custody
The driver, now arrested on suspicion of multiple offences, was taken to hospital as a precaution. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
