Man Jailed Over £2 Million Cannabis Factories Bust
A 25-year-old man has been locked up after police found his fingerprints in massive cannabis factories worth up to £2 million.
Fingerprints Link Pali to Huge Drug Grow Ops
Ardit Pali was tied by forensic evidence to two massive cannabis factories. One was at Warboys Industrial Estate near Huntingdon, and the other at Sandy Industrial Estate, Bedfordshire. The raids took place in May and June 2021.
The Warboys site had 19 grow rooms packed with 1,674 cannabis plants valued between £461,000 and £1.38 million. The Sandy estate was almost as big, with 15 rooms and 882 plants worth between £249,690 and £740,880.
Forensics Nail Pali’s Role
At Warboys, police found Pali’s fingerprints on several light bulbs. At Sandy, his DNA was on bulb boxes and even a Heineken beer can, sealing his involvement.
Judge Sends Pali Down for 20 Months
On Tuesday 11 April at Peterborough Crown Court, Pali, who has no fixed address, pleaded guilty to two counts of producing a Class B drug. He was sentenced to 20 months behind bars.
Detective Constable James Campbell said: “Drugs are a stain on society and cause so much harm to people who use, as well as law-abiding people who suffer from associated crime and anti-social behaviour. I am pleased that Pali has now been served justice and can reflect on his crimes.”
