Teen Due in Court Over Fatal Chingford Stabbing

Tragedy on Longshaw Road

Police were called at 9.21pm on Monday, 10 April to reports of a stabbing on Longshaw Road, Chingford. Officers arrived within three minutes, joined by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

Despite desperate first aid from the public and emergency teams, 16-year-old victim Chima died at the scene.

Two Teens Arrested in Connection

A 16-year-old boy is set to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 15 April. His family have been informed of the development.

Another 16-year-old was arrested earlier, on Wednesday, 12 April, and appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 14 April.

A 15-year-old has been bailed pending further inquiries, with a hearing scheduled for early July.

Police Appeal for Information

Next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from family liaison officers.
