A mid-terraced two-storey house suffered serious damage after a fire gutted half of its ground floor. Luckily, one man managed to escape before the fire crews arrived. Emergency services confirmed there were no injuries.

Electrical Fault in Fridge Blamed for Fire

Investigators believe the blaze started accidentally due to an electrical fault in a fridge. The London Fire Brigade was called just after noon, at 12.08pm, and brought the fire under control by 1.24pm.

Firefighters from Harold Hill, Dagenham, Romford, and Leytonstone rushed to tackle the blaze. Their swift response prevented further damage and ensured everyone got out safely.
