Woman Killed in Shocking Firearms Incident in Kent
Kent Police rushed to a disturbance on Priory Road around 12:40pm on Saturday, 6 May 2023. Armed officers and a police negotiator confronted a man inside the property. During the tense standoff, a 36-year-old woman was shot and seriously injured by a handgun. She was quickly rushed to a London hospital.
Victim Dies, Suspect in Critical Condition
Tragically, the woman died from her injuries just before the evening of Monday, 8 May. The 29-year-old man inside the property, believed to be the suspect, was also hospitalised with a gunshot wound. He remains in critical condition.
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is leading the investigation into this grim case.
