Terror Documents Land Man in Jail for 30 Months
Nicholas Street has been slapped with a 30-month jail sentence. The court heard how he pleaded guilty to three counts of possessing terrorist documents, breaching Section 58 of the Terrorism Act 2000. He was also found guilty earlier of offences under Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

Street first caught the eye of counter-terror cops during a probe into another suspect trying to source a firearm. Investigators uncovered messages between the pair swapping tips on making homemade guns.
The West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit (WMCTU) swooped and arrested Street over these suspicions. They seized his phone, laptop, and other tech gear, then quizzed him before releasing under investigation.
Chilling Find: Neo-Nazi Videos and Terrorist Chats
The case then shifted to Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW), who combed through Street’s devices. They discovered terrorist documents and extremist chats on apps like Telegram and Snapchat.
Street had also been chatting with far-right groups about guns, and cops found Neo-Nazi propaganda and videos on his gadgets.
Authorities Clamp Down: Clear Message on Terror Threats
On December 12, Street was hauled in again and charged with three counts of possessing terrorist material and one count of encouraging terrorism.
“Thanks to the diligent investigative work by WMCTU and CTPNW Nicholas Street has been jailed,” said Detective Superintendent Andrew Meeks of CTPNW.
“People idolising and encouraging terrorists pose a real danger. We’re committed to rooting out and prosecuting these threats.”
