Christmas Eve Horror: Woman Stabbed to Death in London Park
A brutal Christmas Eve murder has rocked London after Kasim Lewis, 31, was jailed for 29 years for killing 22-year-old Iuliana Lilith Tudos. The horrific attack happened as Iuliana was on her way to meet friends in Finsbury Park, December 2017.
Violent Attack in Finsbury Park
Iuliana was heading through Finsbury Park to collect some belongings before rejoining friends to celebrate Christmas when Lewis unleashed a vicious assault. Police found her naked body in a burnt-out shed three days later with stab wounds, blunt force trauma to the head, and cuts likely caused by broken glass bottles.
Detective Chief Inspector Nicola Wall said, “Iuliana was killed in a shockingly violent manner. Women in London are safer with Lewis behind bars.”
Swift Police Action Led to Arrest
- Lewis used Iuliana’s bank card soon after the murder, raising suspicions
- Forensic evidence seized from his home linked him to the crime
- He was arrested at a friend’s flat in East London on New Year’s Day 2018
- Upon arrest, Lewis reportedly confessed, saying: “I did it.”
Though he refused to comment during police interviews, Lewis was charged with murder on 2 January 2018.
Family Mourns Lost Daughter
“Our beloved daughter, a shining example and full of dreams, was taken in the most repelling and inhuman way,” Iuliana’s family said in a heartfelt statement.
“She moved to the UK to study and worked hard to build her future. We dreamed of her returning home, graduated and starting a family—now all is lost. We will never get through this.”
The family expressed comfort only in the thought that Iuliana is “safe in God’s hands” and condemned the senseless violence that ended her young life.
