Detectives have charged an 18-year-old man with the murder of 19-year-old Anis Omar Zen in Harrow. Saeed Ibrahim of Stanmore was arrested on Thursday and subsequently charged on Friday. He is scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, September 9.
The tragic incident unfolded on Monday, September 4, when police were called at 16:50 to Masefield Avenue in Stanmore following reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers and the London Ambulance Service discovered Anis Omar Zen with injuries. Despite the valiant efforts of both officers and paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
Anis was a resident of Harrow, and his family is currently receiving support from specialist officers during this difficult time.
The investigation into this tragic incident is being led by detectives from the Specialist Crime Command, with support from colleagues in the North West BCU. A 19-year-old man who was arrested near the scene on suspicion of murder has been bailed, pending further inquiries.
