Midnight Horror: Woman Sexually Assaulted Outside Reading Minster
Just after midnight on Tuesday (17/11), a woman in her thirties was attacked next to the side entrance of Reading Minster of St Mary Virgin Church, opposite St Mary’s Butts.
Man Approaches Woman Before Assault
The victim was approached by a man who spoke to her before sexually assaulting her. She was fortunate to escape without any injuries.
Police Hunt Slim, Short Suspect
The offender is described as a white man in his forties, with short dark brown hair and a spiky beard. He stood around 5ft tall, skinny build, wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, and a brown bobble hat.
Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Sergeant Jon Morley of Reading Police said: “This was a distressing incident during which a woman in her thirties was sexually assaulted. I would like to appeal for any witnesses to come forward and help with our investigation.”
