Police in Bristol have released a CCTV image of a male suspect they are keen to identify in connection with an assault on a member of staff at a Tesco store in Clare Street. The incident occurred on Sunday, May 28, around 9.45pm..

According to the details provided by the police, the incident unfolded when a male individual was stopped on suspicion of shoplifting inside the Tesco store. A member of the store’s staff was in the process of escorting the suspect out of the premises when the situation took a violent turn. The suspect reportedly became aggressive and assaulted the staff member, punching him in the face and causing an injury.

Once outside the store, the assailant didn’t stop there. He proceeded to kick the store’s door multiple times, ultimately causing damage to the door before fleeing the scene.

The male captured in the CCTV image is described as being in his mid to late teens and was wearing a high-visibility vest at the time of the incident.

Local authorities are urging anyone who may have information about this individual or the incident to come forward and assist in identifying the suspect.
