The STV studios in Glasgow were evacuated tonight following the discovery of a suspicious package. Concerns arose when rumours started circulating about the presence of an unidentified item in the car park, prompting authorities to take immediate action.
As a precautionary measure, bomb squads have been dispatched to the scene, and the police, who were already present, have established a cordon along Govan Road. To ensure the safety of the public, traffic and pedestrians are being redirected away from the area.
In response to the incident, an STV spokesperson addressed the situation, stating, “Due to a police incident in the area, STV’s offices at Pacific Quay have been evacuated this evening.” The safety and well-being of their staff and visitors remain their top priority.
