Yosef Guedalia, British-israeli Soldier, Killed In Hamas Attack

Yosef Guedalia, a 22-year-old British-Israeli soldier, has lost his life while bravely confronting Hamas gunmen at Kibbutz Kfar Aza on October 7. Yosef was a member of an anti-terror unit and, according to his brother Asher, displayed exceptional courage minutes before being shot.

Asher revealed that Yosef, who “literally saved people minutes before he got shot,” helped evacuate injured civilians from the conflict zone. Asher mentioned the existence of a video capturing Yosef carrying an injured civilian, now recovering in the hospital. Describing Yosef’s actions, Asher stated, “He acted with heroism and determination, continuing to fight without thinking of himself or hesitating.”

Yosef Guedalia’s commitment to rescuing citizens and combating terrorism was evident in his selfless efforts. Asher emphasised Yosef’s unwavering positivity, describing him as “always happy” and asserting that “there was no bad in him.” He remembered Yosef as a “righteous and good person.”

Born to a mother from Manchester, Yosef was on the verge of celebrating his first wedding anniversary. Despite the inherent risks, Yosef understood the gravity of his mission. “I’m sure he understood he might not get back to his wife and his family, but that’s his calling. That’s the hero we had for 22 years,” Asher remarked, reflecting on Yosef’s dedication to his duty and the sacrifices made in the line of service.
