Two More Arrests Made in Matthew Schofield Murder Probe
Detectives have made fresh strides in the brutal killing of 34-year-old Matthew Schofield. The victim was found dead at the side of Belgrave Road after being assaulted near Belgrave Circle in the early hours of Sunday, June 11.
The attack happened just before 3 a.m., and police discovered Matthew at about 4:20 a.m. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
26-Year-Old Man and 48-Year-Old Woman Held
On Friday, November 3, officers arrested two more suspects linked to the case. A 26-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of murder, while a 48-year-old woman was detained for allegedly assisting an offender.
Both have been interviewed and released on bail as police continue their investigation.
Investigation Now Includes 14 Arrests
These latest arrests bring the total number of people taken in for questioning over Matthew’s death to 14. Authorities remain determined to uncover the full truth and bring those responsible to justice.
