Armed Bandits Hit Camden and Islington – Flying Squad Wants You!
The Flying Squad is urgently hunting three men behind a series of brazen armed robberies in Camden and Islington. Police have released images of the suspects and need witnesses to come forward.
Early Morning Tesco Heist
Just after 5:40am on 1 October, two men stormed Tesco on Camden Road NW1. One was waving a handgun at staff while the other ransacked the shelves. The terrifying raid left shoppers shaken but unhurt.
Same Thieves Strike Again – This Time Armed With Knife and Hammer
Less than 40 minutes later, the same pair hit Nisa Local on York Way, N1. Then on 4 October at 3:20am, the duo returned accompanied by a third man. This time, they threatened the public inside with a handgun, a knife, and a hammer before fleeing with stolen goods.
Who Are These Criminals?
- Suspect A: Asian male, about 6ft tall, 20s, dressed all in black. Notable black tracksuit bottoms with grey pockets.
- Suspect B: Asian male, around 5ft 7, aged 20-30, also in black. Hoodie sports a “MYPROTEIN” logo.
- Suspect C: No description available.
Police Plea: Help Catch These Dangerous Thugs
Detective Constable Will Wigzell, leading the probe, warned: “Victims went through a terrifying ordeal but thankfully no injuries. These are serious crimes and we want to identify the culprits fast.”
