A murder investigation has been launched after a 58-year-old man tragically died from injuries sustained in an assault in a residential property on Erwood Road, London SE7. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 22 prompting officers to respond to reports of an assault involving a man and a woman.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered the 58-year-old man with injuries consistent with an assault, while the 47-year-old woman had minor injuries. As the two suspects were being apprehended, the male victim’s condition deteriorated rapidly. Officers provided immediate first aid until the arrival of the London Ambulance Service.
Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the man’s injuries proved fatal, and he passed away on November 25. His next of kin has been notified and will receive support from specialist officers during this difficult time. A post-mortem examination will be conducted in due course to determine the exact cause of death.
In connection with the incident, two men have been arrested. Radoslaw Brzezicki, 41, of Erwood Road, Charlton, and Marius Bruzas, 49, of Longmoore Street, Westminster, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday, November 24. They have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, while Brzezicki faces an additional charge of assault causing actual bodily harm on the female victim.
During their court appearance, Brzezicki was remanded in custody, while Bruzas was granted bail. Details regarding their next court appearances are yet to be confirmed.
Authorities are currently treating this incident as an isolated one, with indications suggesting that those involved are acquainted with each other.
