Man, 58, Dies After Brutal Assault in Charlton Home
A murder probe is underway following the death of a 58-year-old man attacked in a London home on Erwood Road, SE7. The shocking assault happened on Wednesday, November 22, involving a man and a woman at the property.
Victim Fights for Life But Dies Days Later
Police arrived to find the man with serious injuries consistent with an assault. A 47-year-old woman suffered minor injuries. As officers tried to detain two suspects, the victim’s condition took a turn for the worse. First aid was given on scene before paramedics from the London Ambulance Service arrived.
Tragically, despite urgent medical efforts, the man died on November 25. His next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. A post-mortem will establish the precise cause of death.
Two Men Arrested and Charged
Police arrested two men in connection with the attack. Radoslaw Brzezicki, 41, from Erwood Road, Charlton, and Marius Bruzas, 49, of Longmoore Street, appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on November 24.
- Both face a charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
- Brzezicki also faces an assault causing actual bodily harm charge related to the female victim.
Brzezicki was remanded in custody, while Bruzas was released on bail. Dates for their next court hearings are still pending.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
