Sinclair Leahy Jailed for Six Years Over Lewis Sex Crimes

Sinclair Leahy, 54, was handed a six-year prison sentence for serious sexual offences committed on the Isle of Lewis. The High Court in Edinburgh delivered the verdict on Friday, November 24, 2023.

Offences Spanning Nearly a Year

Leahy’s crimes took place between March 2020 and February 2021. He was arrested and charged on February 9, 2021. After a thorough police investigation, he was found guilty at a High Court hearing in Edinburgh on October 16, 2023, of multiple serious sexual offences against women.

Police Speak Out: Justice Served

“Leahy will now face the consequences of his deplorable behaviour,” said Detective Sergeant Daniel Smith. He praised Police Scotland’s ongoing efforts to tackle sexual offences and protect communities from harm.
