Hampshire police have charged a fourth individual in connection with the murder of 22-year-old Levi Kent, who tragically lost his life after a serious assault in Gosport on the early morning of Friday, November 24.
The incident unfolded on Keyes Road in Bridgemary, Gosport, prompting a swift response from law enforcement officers who arrived at 2:32 am to find Levi Kent critically injured. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.
Joanne West, a 45-year-old resident with no fixed address in Fareham, has been charged with two offences related to assisting an offender. She is now in custody and is scheduled to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today, November 28.
This latest development follows the initial charges against three other individuals:
- Tommy West, an 18-year-old from Fisgard Road, Gosport, has been charged with murder, robbery, and possession of a bladed article. He is set to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Wednesday, November 29.
- Aiden West, aged 24 and residing on Tudor Close, Gosport, has been charged with murder, robbery, and possession of a bladed article. Like Tommy West, Aiden is also scheduled to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on Wednesday, November 29.
- Sarah Flynn, 35 years old and living on James Close, Gosport, faces charges related to assisting an offender. She is expected to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today, November 28.
Moreover, additional individuals were taken into custody during the course of the investigation:
- A 19-year-old man from Gosport, apprehended on November 24 on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail and is required to return on February 24.
- A 67-year-old man from Salisbury, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has also been released on police bail and is slated to return on February 25.
- A 22-year-old man from Fareham, detained on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail with a return date set for February 25.
- A 35-year-old man from Fareham, arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released without charge.
