£140 Million Cocaine Haul Seized in Major UK Drug Bust
Police and the National Crime Agency (NCA) have smashed a major organised crime group in a high-stakes £140 million cocaine raid across Lancashire and Merseyside. Nine suspects were arrested in a massive coordinated crackdown on November 29, targeting a daring smuggling plot.
Massive Drug Plot Uncovered
The crime gang tried to smuggle a huge shipment of cocaine back in August 2022 but were stopped in their tracks. Six of those arrested have direct ties to the haul, with five already sporting criminal records. The other three suspects face charges linked to a conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

National Crime Agency Commander Speaks Out
“This was a massive haul of cocaine with an estimated street value of £140 million. There is no doubt these drugs would have been sold on into communities across the UK, fuelling violence, exploitation, and misery. Since the seizure of the drugs, the agency has been working intensely to identify and pursue those responsible,” said Richie Davies, NCA Branch Commander.
The operation highlights UK law enforcement’s relentless fight to smash drug trafficking rings and protect communities from the devastation of narcotics. Investigations continue as police hunt down all those involved to bring them to justice.
