The incident involving two men and two women happened in the Memorial Gardens, Sandgate Road, at around 9.10pm on Saturday 9 September 2023.
No serious injuries were sustained.
Officers attended and later that night arrested a 26-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman who were released on bail pending further enquiries.
A 37-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman have also since been interviewed under caution.
Detectives are continuing to carry out enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, having already explored CCTV opportunities, spoken to witnesses and conducted house-to-house enquiries.
They would now like to hear from anyone else who may have seen or heard what happened, or who may have captured the incident on their dashcams or doorbells.
