Notting Hill Gate Station Cordoned Off by Police as Emergency Services Rush to Scene following reports of a person under a train

A sombre scene unfolded at London’s Notting Hill Gate station this evening as emergency services, including police and paramedics, rushed to an incident on the tracks. British Transport Police (BTP) and other emergency services were called to the station around 7pm following reports of a casualty.

A heavy presence of over a dozen police vehicles and ambulances was witnessed outside the central London station, signalling the gravity of the situation. The area around the station was promptly cordoned off to facilitate the emergency response.

Response and Impact

The Central line experienced significant disruptions, with services being initially suspended and severe delays continuing as of 7.30pm. Firefighters from Kensington, North Kensington, and Paddington fire stations were also at the scene, providing necessary assistance.

A BTP spokeswoman confirmed, “Officers are working Firefighters who have been called to assist at Notting Hill Underground Station.
