Northolt Road in South Harrow became the centre of a dramatic police incident that has led to the closure of the road, causing disruption and concern among residents and commuters in the area.

The unfolding events began at approximately 5:50 pm, near the Waitrose supermarket, and quickly escalated, resulting in the closure of Northolt Road in all directions. This closure has had a cascading effect on the flow of traffic, causing significant disruptions at crucial junctions, including Shaftesbury Avenue, Roxeth Hill, and Lower Road in South Harrow. Local bus services, including routes 114, 140, 258, 395, H9, H10, and SL9, have been affected, inconveniencing passengers and necessitating route diversions.

The scene is marked by the presence of numerous police vehicles lining Northolt Road, indicating a substantial police response to the incident. Emergency services, including both police and firefighters, have been deployed to address the unfolding situation after a person has taken to making threats to set fire to the building. It is understood that the person is a resident of the block of flats.
