Road policing officers in Glasgow are urging the public to come forward with information after a serious collision between a motorbike and a pedestrian occurred on Mosspark Drive. The incident took place around 8pm on Sunday, December 31, between the junctions of Arbroath Avenue and Tealing Avenue.
The pedestrian involved in the collision is a 68-year-old woman who was attempting to cross the road when she was struck by a grey Yamaha MT-07 motorcycle travelling northward toward Paisley Road West. After the collision, the motorbike rider fled the scene in the direction of Tealing Avenue.
Promptly responding to the emergency call, the local emergency services arrived at the scene, and the injured woman was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Her current medical condition is described as serious but stable.
Investigations into the incident have unveiled that the motorcycle involved had been reported as stolen from an address in Edinburgh on Friday, December 19, 2023.
Local authorities are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the motorbike rider to come forward and assist in their inquiries.
