Pair Charged in Spate of Fires Across North London

Suspects Arrested Over Two Blazes

Paul Harwood, 42, and Zara Kasory, 32, both with no fixed address, were nabbed on Wednesday, 3 January. They face serious charges: arson with intent following an early January fire, plus arson without intent after a blaze at a Long Lane restaurant in N3 around 11pm the same night. Luckily, no one was hurt in either fire.

Court Appearance Set

Both suspects are set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court this morning, Thursday, 4 January, as the investigation heats up.

Earlier Fire Sparks Probe

Police were also called in on Christmas Eve evening after a fire broke out at an office on Ballards Lane, N3 at 7.06pm. The London Fire Brigade quickly extinguished the flames. Detectives from the North West Command Unit CID are handling the investigation.

Police have addressed community worries and confirmed that the fire at Mr Freer’s office is not being treated as a hate crime. Mr Freer has been informed.
