Stabbing Incident in Woodcock Road, Luton Prompts Police Investigation

Police are seeking the assistance of witnesses and individuals with information regarding a fail-to-stop road traffic collision that occurred in Bury St Edmunds. The incident took place on Risbygate Street at approximately 2.20pm on Saturday, December 30, 2023, involving a car and a child.

According to reports, a black car collided with a 10-year-old boy who was crossing the road using the pelican crossing near the traffic lights by Chalk Road North. Shockingly, the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene, leaving the injured child behind. Witnesses report that the driver, described as a white female with long black hair, shouted at the boy before fleeing the scene.

The young victim sustained a leg injury and was promptly taken to the hospital for medical treatment. His condition is currently being monitored by medical professionals.

In light of this hit-and-run incident, the police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or possesses any relevant information or dash-cam footage to come forward. It is crucial to quote CAD 177 on December 30, 2023, when providing any details to the authorities.
